KARRIDER
My name is Karin, I am 48 years old married to Derek and have 2 children, Richard who is grown up and Heidi who is still only 12. She is my Dog and Cat helper and already shows a keen interest in animal husbandry. I have been involved with Border Collies since 1977 when I fell in love with a beautiful blue merle bitch and booked one of her puppies. Tammy came to me in December 1977 and was the start of many years involvement with Obedience showing and helping out at the Kent County Canine Obedience shows for many years, most often as the secretary or Show Manager, also serving on the obedience committee for longer than I care to remember, all those of you reading this will know what a thankless task committees or show management can be!!.
I have bred Border collies mainly concentrating on the Merles but more recently my litters have mostly consisted of Chocolate and White or Black and White, I am hoping to keep a puppy from my next litter for myself, a Merle would be nice but I am sure that a nice Chocolate is just as likely to make me happy.
My puppies have done very well over the years and I am very proud that so many have gone to working homes, 2 have also gone as search and rescue dogs and both of these lovely girls also compete in agility and working trials
As well as the dogs I have a keen interest in Oriental cats and breed and sometimes show my Havana’s at present I am hoping to continue with both the Havana and my latest foray into colour, the Cinnamon.
This beautiful boy is Champion Cazzywoods Armageddon also known as Ged; he is my current stud boy and producing beautiful babies, unfortunately very few have inherited his beautiful colouring.
These little beauties (picture below are from my last litter sired by my Jasper "Karrider Jasper Karrot") Jasper is now 14 years old and sadly owing to a cancer scare this litter was his last.
